HISTORY
Central City West was once aquiet residential area between
Downtown Los Angeles and Mac
Arthur Park called Temple-Beaudry.
When Edward L. Doheny discovered
oil in 1892 it became part of the Oil
District croweded with oil derricks.
Like Bunker Hill on the other side
of the Harbor Freeway it's houses
were torn down to give way for a
new development of office buildings.
